10. How to prepare your chinese medicine?
Not all herbal drinks taste bitter. In any event, the results gained will outweight any slight unpleasant taste. The taste can be improved by adding some honey.
To get the best results, follow these few simple steps:
1.Put one pack of herbs into a non-metal pot, add one pint to one and half pint of cold water (This is the rule of thumb, however, this may vary depending on the quantity of herbs used), soak for half hour to one hour and bring to boil (high heat first and then low heat to simmer).
2.Simmer for 30 minutes.
3.After simmering, use a sieve to filter the liquid into a mug.
4.Do NOT discard the herbs. The used herbs should be reused again for a second time. Repeat the above procedure.
5.Mix these two drinks together and separate them into two mugs. The herbal drink is now ready to drink. You should drink one mug in the morning and the other in the evening – one hour before bedtime.
